Support Hurricane Helene Relief with Cove Creek Preservation & Development
Cove Creek Preservation & Development (CCP&D), a nonprofit organization in western Watauga County, NC, is dedicated to preserving our local heritage. We proudly maintain the historic Cove Creek School building, a beloved landmark that serves as a hub for community events, local businesses, and is the home of the Doc & Merle Watson Folk Art Museum. Each year, we host Doc & Rosa Lee Watson MusicFest, celebrating our region’s musical legacy and bringing people together in the spirit of tradition and joy.
Unfortunately, Hurricane Helene brought devastating flooding to our area, causing significant infrastructure damage to the school building and the grounds where MusicFest is held.
We need your help to rebuild. Every dollar you donate will go directly to CCP&D and will be used to:
• Repair and restore the historic Cove Creek school.
• Rebuild the infrastructure damaged by flooding.
• Ensure we can continue hosting MusicFest, continue supporting other initiatives, and continue to serve as a cultural resource for our region.
Your generosity will help us recover and preserve the heart of Cove Creek for years to come. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will help our efforts immensely.
CCP&D is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
