FAQs

What is the Doc & Rosa Lee Watson MusicFest?
MusicFest is an all-day, family-oriented event celebrating the music and lives of Doc and Rosa Lee Watson with a fantastic lineup of live music, local food, crafts and the grand opening of the Doc & Merle Watson Folk Art Museum. There is something for the whole family!

What happens if there is inclement weather?
The festival is a rain or shine event. In the event of severe weather with thunder and lightning, events will stop or be delayed until we receive “all clear”. In those extreme cases, please be cautions and return to your vehicle or the nearest facility. Do not wait it out under a tree, tent, etc.

Do all ages require a ticket?
Children 12 years and younger are admitted free to the general admission seating area when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Tickets are required for all seats in the Reserved seating area.

What are the seating options?
There are two seating options at MusicFest. A reserved Two Day Shade seat provides a dedicated seat under tent coverage. You will be able to select your desired seat(s) from the seat map when you purchase tickets. For general admission, seating is festival-style where you bring your own chair or a blanket and sit on the field. Seating in general admission is first-come, first-served.

When do gates open for the day?
The festival gates will open on Friday at 4 pm and at 9 am on Saturday. The festival ends each day usually around 11:00 pm.

Can I buy tickets at the gate?
Yes! Tickets can be purchased at the festival gate, however, we do encourage you to purchase tickets online ahead of time to save time when entering the festival and to take advantage of early bird pricing.

Is there re-entry to the festival?
Of course! You may come and go as you please but your bag(s) are subject to search each time upon re-entry. Do not remove your wristband. You must have your wristband on to get back into the festival.

Where can I park?
There will be several nearby parking lots with free parking. A complimentary shuttle will be provided from the free lots to the main gate. Additionally, there will be a few paid lots closer to the festival grounds.

When do shuttle buses run?
Shuttle buses start running the same time the gates open and will continue throughout the festival.
